As we make inroads into the social systems of education, business and politics, we intends to balance the scales of justice, help our children re-discover the value of books, recognize and be able to properly utilize the importance and presence of our HBCUs, and most importantly to strengthen the infrastructure of all infrastructures, our people.
The Ascension Movement is in the connecting business. It will connect our many lights of brilliance to purpose and creation, people to families, common sense to social policies, dollars and sense to the needs of the people, businesses to urban areas and our children to schools. It is a model metropolis we are deserving of, and its time is now. All the movement needs is you. Due to copyright concerns, the actual names of the business models are being withheld.
- Black Teen Awareness: A business model that will focus on our youth in two predominant ways. We will curb the rising trend in HIV/AIDS contraction; address the large number of Black youth in foster care, and find ways to effectively promote the importance of the family unit. The number one goal of this model is to lobby for mandatory HIV/AIDS testing in all of our high schools, while simultaneously keeping anonymity in place. It is our young people, in particular our young girls, that are dying from HIV/AIDS.
- Book Publishing: This model has already begun, and there are presently titles that can be purchased right now.
- Direct Sales: A Direct Sales company that will create both successful businesswomen and businessmen of an ethnic variety.
- Cable Television: A cable television channel that should prove to be one of the most popular channels in existence.
- New School Systems: The “Ultimate Goal” of the Ascension Movement. In order to change the educational course of Black America, there has to be a nationwide change to the educational platform that Black America now stands on.
- Arts & Entertainment: An Arts and entertainment company that will focus on positive story-line movies and plays, as well as music fit for our children.
- Inner City Business Development: A model that will bring about the business and service infrastructure that Black America should have had centuries ago.
- Political Organization: A new, grassroots political organization that will serve the people and not lobbyists, foreign interest or corporate America.
- Venture Capitalism: A business model that will assist other Black Americans in building the business and service infrastructure that is badly needed.
- African Connection: An organization that will help connect Black Americans with African immigrants and Black America with Africa. This connection is important, and to date, practically is non-existent.
